Welcome to HuskyHowl. By downloading, installing, or using the HuskyHowl mobile application ("App") or visiting the HuskyHowl website at huskyhowl.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App or Website.

1. About HuskyHowl

HuskyHowl is an independent, fan-built application that aggregates publicly available sports data for Northeastern University Huskies athletics. HuskyHowl is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Northeastern University, its athletics department, or any conference or league.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use HuskyHowl. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the App and Website. By using HuskyHowl, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the App or Website.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, APIs, or backend services.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or Website.

4. Sports Data & Accuracy

HuskyHowl aggregates sports data from third-party sources including ESPN, SportRadar, and Kalshi. While we strive to present accurate and timely information:

  • All scores, schedules, standings, odds, and predictions are provided on an "as-is" basis.
  • We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed.
  • Odds and prediction data are for informational and entertainment purposes only. HuskyHowl does not facilitate, encourage, or provide any gambling or wagering services.
  • Data may be delayed, incorrect, or unavailable at times due to third-party limitations.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code comprising the HuskyHowl App and Website are the property of HuskyHowl or its licensors. Team names, logos, and other trademarks referenced within the App belong to their respective owners and are used solely for identification and informational purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

HuskyHowl integrates with third-party services to deliver its functionality. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Google AdMob — for serving advertisements within the App.
  • ESPN & SportRadar — for sports data, scores, and schedules.
  • Kalshi — for odds and prediction market data.
  • Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — for delivering notifications.

Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

7. Advertisements

HuskyHowl displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free operation of the App. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Ads may be displayed as banner ads and interstitial (full-screen) ads during your use of the App.
  • Ad content is provided by Google and third-party advertisers; HuskyHowl does not control ad content.
  • Google may collect certain data to serve personalized ads, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Push Notifications

HuskyHowl may send push notifications for live game updates, score alerts, final scores, and odds changes. You can manage your notification preferences within the App's Settings or through your device's notification settings at any time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HUSKYHOWL AND ITS DEVELOPER(S) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP OR WEBSITE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HuskyHowl and its developer(s) from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App or Website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App or Website following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or Website at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Boston, Massachusetts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
